Fall — Team Build All tracks
September through mid-November: 2–3 sessions per week in Charlotte, 2–3 tournaments, director-led training, whiteboard / film, and team camps that set the standard for the year.
Team Carolina is the premier boys travel program of the Carolina Lacrosse Association (CLA) — a Carolinas-based lacrosse organization built around development, coaching, and competition. Based in Charlotte, we offer year-round and seasonal team options at the Elite and Select levels for classes 2027–2033, with a Futures pathway for our youngest players (classes 2034–2037). Our goal is to develop phenomenal players and teammates on and off the field — and to give every athlete the best possible pathway to college lacrosse and college preparation.

Team Carolina is CLA's premier Charlotte-based boys travel program. We offer three pathways under one coaching staff: Elite for players ready for our highest-level, year-round program with more out-of-region tournaments; Select for competitive players on a seasonal Fall/Summer schedule; and Futures for our youngest players (classes 2034–2037) building the foundation. All three develop college-track athletes.
Elite trains year-round across all four pillars below. Select and Futures run on a Fall + Summer schedule — the seasons that matter most for development and recruiting. Same coaching standards across all three tracks.

Ricky Reyes leads Team Carolina as Director and serves as the program's High School Director. He's a former Division I assistant at Queens University of Charlotte, a former head coach at Woodgrove High School in Virginia, and a former player at Christopher Newport University. He also serves as CEO of the Carolina Lacrosse Association — so the standard for the program comes from the top.
Team Carolina is built for players who want high-level training, real development, and a path to play college lacrosse. If that’s where your son is — on Elite, Select, or Futures — we want to talk. If it’s not the right fit right now, we’ll help point your family to other developmental opportunities in the area. Either way, you’ll get a straight answer.
A program only works when everyone is bought in. Here’s our expectation around commitment and outside lacrosse.
Team Carolina must be a player’s priority unless they play another sport. If a player does not play another sport, they are expected to participate in Team Carolina programming.
All-American and national-team opportunities are acceptable, but cannot conflict with Team Carolina programming unless communicated ahead of time and agreed upon with the director and coaches. Our partner all-star program is SweetLax.
